City Credit Union has served our community for over 50 years as a not-for-profit financial institution and one of the best Missouri credit unions. Originally established as a utility employees' credit union for workers at Independence Power & Light, our focus is on people rather than profits. We offer a range of financial products and services, including online banking, a mobile app, loans, and competitive interest rates, all designed to support your financial goals and make your money go further. When you become a credit union member, you become an owner and part of something better.
While the dictionary defines a credit union as a cooperative group that makes loans to its members at low interest rates, today's credit union services are more than just great loan rates.
At City Credit Union, we provide a complete range of practical products, convenient services, financial solutions, and investment opportunities to help our members succeed.
We work to maintain a personal, “small town” relationship with our community. You’ll find that our savings dividends and loan rates often beat our competitors. We've prioritized giving all of our account holders a voice in how we do business. As we succeed, we share that success with you!
As a leading Jackson County credit union, we return any profits back to the people who participate. These funds cover operating expenses, upgrade services, provide high returns on credit union savings accounts, and offer low interest rates on loans! When the credit union succeeds, its members see direct benefits!
Our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee at City Credit Union include your coworkers, neighbors, family, and friends, not highly paid professionals. Community involvement ensures we set goals that benefit the people using our financial services.
When you open a savings account with our credit union or a credit union checking account, you become an owner. As such, you enjoy advantages you won’t find at other financial institutions. Instead of treating you like a number, our staff treats you with respect. We get to know you, ask about your goals, and then help you reach them. In short, City Credit Union always offers superior personal service.
Credit unions traditionally serve a select group of people who share a common bond, such as a specific association, neighborhood, church, or employer. As a credit union that was initially formed to serve the employees of Independence Power & Light, we have enjoyed expanding our services to include:
