Youth Savings Accounts

At City Credit Union, we understand the importance of teaching children about good financial habits and money management skills. After all, smart savings skills are something that will benefit them tremendously as they grow into financially responsible adults. That’s why we’ve created a whole new line of youth-oriented savings products so that we can partner together with parents to give our children a greater advantage regarding their financial future.

Sprout Savings Account

Designed specifically for children ages 0-5 years, the Sprout Savings Account is a wonderful way to help your child learn about savings. This positive reinforcement and them being able to watch their account grow generates an excitement in your child to be involved with their own financial management. This is a perfect way to help your child’s savings grow strong!

Timber Savings Account

Children ages 6-12 will benefit from a Timber Savings Account which offers the same great savings opportunity as our Sprout Savings Account but adds a layer of more financial independence. As a Timber Savings Account member, your child will also enjoy having account access through My City Branch and Mobile Money.

Branch Out Savings Account

Our Branch Out Savings Account is for teens ages 13-17. They’ll enjoy a wider variety of services including more options for savings, a checking account/transactional account, having debit card access, and continued financial gain!

Grow Up Certificate of Deposit

We also offer the Grow Up Certificate of Deposit. This is a three-year CD to which you can add money, with a maximum balance of $3,000. This helps them get in the mindset of long-term investing into their future.
